What do Kim Kardashian, Beyonce Knowles, Kate Bosworth, and Petra Nemcova all have in common? Gorgeous buns, and I'm not talking about their backsides.
Do
you want to know how to get the perfect bun? Look no further! You too
can have a smooth, round hairstyle that looks salon made, without all
the fuss. For the must-have product and my before and after photo tutorial:
This is
called a bun maker. It requires no assembly or bending, it's shaped
like a bagel or donut, and you can find it in all kinds of colors to
suit your needs. The material is wiry like a scrubbing sponge.
For my photo tutorial, I used a light colored bun maker, so you could see the process easily.
Start with a simple ponytail at the height of your desired bun.
Pull hair through the bun maker. Its position should be that of a big scrunchy.
Alternate angle.
Begin spreading hair around the bun maker to cover it completely.
Smooth hair until it looks perfect; this may take a few tries, and you may want someone's help.
Take a hair band and carefully slip it over the bun maker, so it acts to accentuate the round shape.
Then
hide hair ends with bobby pins. If you want the ballerina look, you
can wrap a ribbon around the bun after tucking in the ends.
